The purpose of pallets is to enhance the load capacity on shelving systems and facilitate safe movement of goods by forklifts and containers. Based on the metal surface treatment methods, there are two main types of steel pallets:
Galvanized Steel Pallets
Galvanized Steel Pallets are a common type of pallet, consisting of several steel bars assembled into a flat structure. The pallet surface is treated with galvanization, preventing corrosion and making it resistant to impacts and high weights.
Galvanized pallets offer high oxidation resistance. The load capacity on these pallets is impressive, 2000kg/pallet. It's important to note that different galvanization methods result in varying levels of rust protection.
There are two popular galvanization methods:
- Electro-galvanization: creates a thin layer of zinc that can easily peel off upon impact.
- Hot-dip galvanization: applies a thicker layer of zinc for better metal protection.
Common dimensions for galvanized pallets:
- L1200 x W800 x H150 (mm)
- L1200 x W1000 x H150 (mm)
- L1000 x W1200 x H150 (mm)
- L1100 x W1100 x H150 (mm)
Galvanized steel pallets have a wide range of applications, notably in pharmacies, cold storage, food processing warehouses, and bottled water warehouses.

Power Coated Pallets
Electrostatic painted pallets are metal pallets treated with electrostatic paint technology. The paint layer prevents rust and ensures the pallet can carry heavy loads with high efficiency. These pallets are durable for outdoor and warehouse use.
To achieve the best paint quality, iron pallets undergo a strict surface treatment process using chemical baths. Here, the solution in the baths removes impurities, rust, and oil residues from the surface. In terms of load capacity, electrostatic painted pallets meet.
The needs of warehouses with a load capacity of 1500kg for common models. Specifically, the stackable electrostatic painted pallets can carry 2 - 3 times more load. However, in terms of durability, the galvanized option is more ideal than electrostatic painting.
Common dimensions for electrostatic painted pallets:
- L1000 x W1000 x H140 (mm)
- L1000 x W1200 x H150 (mm)
- L1100 x W1100 x H150 (mm)
- L1100 x W1200 x H150 (mm)
To further save costs, electrostatic painted pallets become the top choice for pharmaceutical warehouses, food processing, oil & gas, chemicals, and heavy industries.
